Private Capital Association Expands Team to Support Growth

Nashville, TN (March 19, 2026) – The Greater Nashville Private Capital Association (GNPCA) today announced the addition of two new team members as the organization continues to expand its role in supporting and connecting the region’s private capital ecosystem.

Joining the team on March 23 are:

Katie Davis, Director of Programs & Events – Katie brings extensive experience in strategic initiatives, event leadership, and stakeholder engagement. Most recently, she served as Director of Strategic Initiatives & Events at Frist Cressey Ventures, a healthcare investment firm, leading multi-day convenings and strategic partnership initiatives. Previously, she spent more than a decade working in the office of former U.S. Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, managing national-level programs and special projects across business, policy, and philanthropic initiatives. Katie is a graduate of the University of Alabama.

Emily Tumelty, Operations Coordinator – Emily brings experience across sales, nonprofit operations, programming and public service. Most recently, she supported events and programming at the Greater Nashville Technology Council and previously held roles at AdaptHealth, along with internships with U.S. Representative Jefferson Van Drew and a New Jersey law firm. Emily holds a Bachelor of Business Economics from the University of Mississippi, where she served as Member Engagement Director for Kappa Kappa Gamma.

“These hires strengthen our ability to deliver high-value programming and deepen connections for our members,” said Judith Byrd, Executive Director of GNPCA. “As the market continues to grow, building the right team allows us to better serve private capital investors and support the long-term development of the ecosystem.”

Founded with seed support from Vanderbilt University, GNPCA is the convening voice for the region’s private capital market, bringing investors together through programming, data and advocacy to support long-term growth.
